2. Heard the learned Counsel for petitioner.

3. Mr.N.P.Kumar, learned Special Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondent. He strongly opposes this petition stating that the affidavit contains no details for the delay.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner has been convicted and it is a statutory appeal, this Court is inclined to allow this petition. Accordingly, the delay stands condoned and the petition is ordered.
