Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India, prayed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to open a Self Help Group (SHG) savings bank account forwarded by the petitioner society letter dated 05.06.2017 and application for opening bank account dated 05.06.2017 submitted for the Annai Sarada Devi Self Help Group with the second respondent Bank.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to open a Self Help Group (SHG) savings bank account forwarded by the petitioner society letter dated 05.06.2017 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

application for opening bank account dated 05.06.2017 submitted for the Annai Sarada Devi Self Help Group with the second respondent Bank.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared for the petitioner. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner made an application to open a Self Help Group (SHG) savings bank account and after that, the petitioner has never approached the bank. If the petitioner approach the bank and fulfill the required formalities, the respondents are ready to consider the petitioner's application.

3. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court does not find any impediment for the petitioner to approach the respondents - Bank once again by furnishing the required documents as demanded by the respondents Bank. Therefore, the petitioner shall approach the respondents Bank and submit all the required documents. In such case, the respondents shall consider the petitioner's application.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
