The Criminal Original petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2017 for police protection to the petitioner and pass orders on the same within a reasonable time.

2. The petitioner seeks police protection for him against four persons namely Sampath, Sivakumar, Syed, Balamurugan who are involving in land grabbing. Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh complaint, on fresh cause of action, if so advised. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
