ORDER

The allegation in this case is that the petitioner was in possession of 30 liquor bottles of 180 ml each and was found carrying the same in his vehicle. The accused appeared before this Court and submitted that the bottles were purchased for a village function. He has been facing the proceedings for the past five years. He has no previous or subsequent case.

2. Considering the factual matrix, any further continuation of the Page No.1 of 3

proceedings will impinge upon the accused's right to a speedy trial. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the matter pending.

3. Accordingly, the S.T.C.No.599 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No. II, Jayamkondam Taluk, Ariyalur shall stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands allowed. 25.08.2025 nsl electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
