O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from in any manner interfering with the affairs of the petitioner club registered with Regn. No.266/2013 situated at No.4, Thalakkarai Village, Pollachi, Coimbatore District or its members, including the facilities provided for playing various games such as the game of playing rummy not involving any element of gambling.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents/Police submitted that already a complaint has been received against the members of the petitioner Club and based on the said complaint Pg.Nos.2/5
an F.I.R was registered on 08.10.2024 vide F.I.R No.291 of 2024 for the offences under Sections 8 and 9 of the Tamil Nadu Gaming and Police Laws Act, 1930 (Amendment 2021). Therefore, the respondents/police summoned the members of the petitioner Club to conduct an enquiry.
3. In view of the above, this writ petition is not maintainable. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
