O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to call for the records pertaining to FIR in Crime No.350 of 2017, dated 19.10.2017, pending investigation on the file of the 1st respondent i.e., the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch -I, Vepery, Chennai - 600 007 and quash the same.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that during the pendency of the investigation, the dispute between the petitioners and the defacto complainant/2nd respondent was resolved and by way of settlement a sum of Rs.62,50,000/- was paid. The learned counsel for the 2nd respondnet/defacto complainant admits the same.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that it was reported by the petitioners as well as the respondent that the compromise was arrived at between them and in pursuant to the compromise a sum of Rs.62,50,000/-, for the offence under Sections 420, 506(i), 120(b) of IPC, which is compoundable in nature.

4. In view of the settlement and compromise entered into between the petitioner and the defacto complainant, the case was closed as "further action dropped" on 15.10.2018 and the report has been filed before the Subordinate Judge, CBCID, Chennai, in RCS.No.48 of 2018. after serving copy to the defato complainant.
