The petitioners herein, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(B) r/w 4(1)(C) of TNP Amendment Act,2024 in Crime No.384 of 2025, on the file 1/4

of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail. 2.The petitioners are absconding in connection with seizure of 21 bottles of King Louis, 22 bottles of Keda Mark, 8 bottles of Juno Pink Vodka, 3 bottles of Imperial and 15 bottles of Lemon Bacardi, totally 69 bottles, each containing 180 ml, from A1 by name Ajay Nirmal. Based on the confession given by A1, from whom the contraband seized, these two petitioners are wanted in the case in Cr.No.384 of 2025.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that from the statement of arrested accused, the petitioner Murugan along with A1 used to stock the contraband in the premises of the second petitioner Babu and sold it in black market and the storing of liquor in the premises is known to the second petitioner.

4. Considering the fact that the contraband was seized from the premises of the second petitioner and the first petitioner being a seller of the liquor along with first accused, this Court is not inclined to grant 2/4

anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 25.08.2025 Vv To
