The petition has been filed seeking bail in connection with Crime No.31 of 2025 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 87 of BNS, 2023 read with 6(1) of POCSO Act.

The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein had developed an illegal intimacy with the minor girl. The complaint of the victim child indicates that she had been in an affair with the petitioner since 2023. As a result, she conceived and was admitted in the hospital for delivery. She gave birth to a male child on 11.06.2025 and as per the instructions of this petitioner, abandoned the child and left the hospital Hence the present complaint. 3.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner and submitted that the DNA report is awaited. He further submitted that the final report has been filed and same is still pending.

Considering the nature of and gravity of the allegations, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
