Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner Revision Petition dated 14.12.2017 within a stipulate time fixed by this Honorable court consequently to direct the respondent District Revenue Officer Tiruvallur district to cancel the illegal proceeding in Na.Ka.No. 1436 /2017 /A2 dated 1.12.2017 passed by the Revenue Divisional officer Tiruttani revenue division and to restore/ issue the patta No. 4882 in the name of petitioner terraced house in Old S.No. 25/1 New S.No.25/3 now subdivided as S.No. 25/3A4 measuring about to an extent of 2 Cents situated at Tiruttani Town and Taluk Tiruvallur district.

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner Revision Petition dated 14.12.2017 within a stipulate time fixed by this Honorable court consequently to direct the respondent District Revenue Officer Tiruvallur district to cancel the illegal proceeding in Na.Ka.No. 1436 /2017 /A2 dated 1.12.2017 passed by the Revenue Divisional officer Tiruttani revenue division and to restore/ issue the patta No. 4882 in the name of petitioner terraced house in Old S.No. 25/1 New S.No.25/3 now subdivided as S.No. 25/3A4 measuring about to an extent of 2 Cents situated at Tiruttani Town and Taluk Tiruvallur district.

2. Against the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer Tiruttani in Na.Ka.No.1436/2017/A2 dated 01.12.2017, the petitioner preferred a revision before the respondent on 14.12.2017. However, the said revision so far has not been disposed of according to the learned counsel for the petitioner and it is still pending with the respondents. Hence, in order to give an early disposal of the revision petition he preferred this writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.R.Anandha Babu learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish Additional Government Pleader for the respondent. 2 / 4

Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that, if at all the revision is still pending without getting any disposal since 2017 at the respondent office, the same would be given priority and if the enquiry is already completed, orders would be passed, otherwise enquiry would be completed within a shortest possible time and the revision would be disposed of on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order.

" That there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the revision filed by the petitioner dated 14.12.2017 against the order of the Revenue Divisional Officer concerned dated 01.12.2017 and pass necessary orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner as well as the respondents in the said revision within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
