The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus to consider and dispose of the petitioner Representation dated 13.09.2021 within a stipulated time fixed 1/5
by this Honouable court, Consequently, to direct the second respondent Sub Collector, Ranipet Revenue Division, Ranipet District to cancel the erroneous illegal Joint Patta No.382 and to issue the patta in the name of petitioner Agricultural property in S.No.5/2 measuring about to an extent of 24 cents situated at Chengalnathan (Madura) Ramapuram Village, Sholinghur Taluk, Ranipet District and grant such other relief and pass orders.

By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission stage itself.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.09.2021 and pass orders.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner inherited the subject property from his father and he was in possession and enjoyment of the same. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father purchased the subject property in year 1986, the Revenue Authorities have not mutated the patta in the name of the petitioner's father and the patta stood in the name of the vendor from whom the petitioner's father purchased the property. Hence the petitioner made a representation dated 13.09.2021 to the respondents but the same was not considered. Hence this writ petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.09.2021 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

In view of the above, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.09.2021 in terms of Section 10 of Patta Pass Book Act,1983 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved parties if any. 24.11.2022 smn Index : yes / no Internet : yes / no Speaking order : Yes/No 4/5
