By consent, the above writ petition is taken up today for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to the 3rd and 4th Respondent is hereby dispensed with.

2. It is the contention of the petitioner that she is a senior citizen and that she has executed a settlement deed in favour of her children, who are respondents 3 and 4 herein. Since they have not taken care of her, she had filed a petition on 07.07.2025 Under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, seeking to cancel the settlement deed executed in their favour. The said petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the authorities to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 07.07.2025. 3.When the matter is taken up today for consideration, Mr.V.Jeevagiridharan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that though the petitioner claims that a representation has been sent on 07.07.2025, no proof has been enclosed in the Writ Petition.

4.On a perusal of records, there is no proof or acknowledgement to show 2/4

that a petition has been sent to the 2nd respondent. However, taking into consideration that the petitioner is a senior citizen, a direction to issued to the petitioner to prefer a petition afresh to the 2nd respondent and get suitable acknowledgement. On such petition being filed, the 2nd respondent is directed to complete the enquiry after issuing notice to the 3rd and 4th respondent in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
