ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the second respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation given on 01.05.2025 pertaining to rectification of the sub division survey number in respect of the Natham land in Survey No.152/2 of Sarabojirajapuram Village, Kudavasal Taluk, Tiruvarur District.

2. Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is an agriculturist and was issued with sub division patta of Natham land situated at Sarabojirajapuram Village, Kudavasal Taluk, Tiruvarur District. While uploading and digitization, the revenue authorities had wrongly entered 2/6

the petitioner's sub division survey number as S.No.152/15, instead of 152/14 and also wrongly assigned the petitioner's sub division survey number i.e., 152/14 to the fourth respondent, who took advantage of the said incorrect assignment and attempted to encroach a portion of petitioner's property. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 01.05.2025 before the second respondent, seeking rectification of sub division survey number. However, the said representation was not considered by the respondents, till date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.05.2025.

5. On instruction, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the second respondent has forwarded the petitioner's representation to the third respondent and called for an report. On receipt of such report, appropriate orders will be passed by 3/6

the respondents.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.05.2025, after giving due notice and opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent and aggrieved persons, if any, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
