This petition is filed to quash the FIR in Cr.No.436 of 2024 on the ground that the complaint was given in malicious intention and now the complainant himself has come forward to withdraw the case.

2. This Court is of the view that if the complainant wants to withdraw the case, the appropriate course of action must be report before the police who is investigating the case and with the Investigating Officer is satisfied that no cognizable offence committed or the offences are compoundable, he can take appropriate decision and close the complaint.

3. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
