O R D E R

The present petition is filed seeking a direction to conduct fresh inquest.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the documents placed on record.

3. It is the contention of the petitioner that her husband died on 17.09.2022 and thereafter, the case has been closed as suicide. According to the petitioner, the deceased was administered with poison by other family members, therefore, fresh inquest proceedings to be conducted.

4. At the outset, the request of the petitioner to conduct fresh inquest, cannot be permitted to be conducted after a long gap, further, the inquest has to be conducted where the dead body normally lies and in the presence of the witness at the time when the dead body was found. Now, it appears 2/4

that case has been closed and closure report has been filed and RCS also served to the complainant, whereas it is the contention of the petitioner that RCS has not been filed.

5. In such view of the matter, the police is directed to serve the RCS to the petitioner and it is for the petitioner/wife to proceed as per law.With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 28.08.2025 To
