PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2023 and to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner enabling him to carry out the construction works of Marriage Hall in the petitioner's land measuring to an extent of 1 acre and 4-cents in Survey No.56/2C1, situate at Pallakacheri Village, Sankarapuram Taluk, Kallakurichi District, in accordance with law and within a time to be stipulated.

ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking police protection for constructing the Marriage Hall in the land owned by the petitioner. The reason for seeking police protection is because of the objection raised by the villagers for put up construction.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that if the petitioner had obtained necessary permission from the local authorities for construction of the building and if any person unnecessarily disturbing the construction of the building, police will Page No.2/4
provide necessary protection.
