ORDER

This writ petition has been filed praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2025 to forthwith continue to provide suitable alternative employment or post him in a light duty like sweeper, watchman, packer, in view of his health condition. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is employed as Loadman from the year 2011 onwards in the respondent Corporation as a daily wager. He submits that the petitioner had suffered a heart attack on 19.06.2025 and further, the Doctors had advised the petitioner to perform light duty. Thus, he submitted a representation dated 01.08.2025 before the appropriate authority, which did not evoke any response warranting him to file the present writ petition.

Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice for the respondents submits that the petitioner is employed 2/5

in the respondent corporation on piece rate basis and not as a regular employee. He accedes to the receipt of the representation dated 01.08.2025 from the petitioner.

Though a larger relief has been sought by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that it is suffice to direct the third respondent to consider the representation of petitioner dated 01.08.2025, and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.

This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
