ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to dispose the representation of the petitioner dated 13.08.2025 and consequently issue suitable directions to provide police protection for the temple festival to be continued on 28.08.2025 of Arulmighu Srinivasa Perumal Thirukoil, Mookutharicham Palayam, Moolanur Taluk.
2. The petitioner is one of the committee member of the temple and the temple is a private temple administered by the temple management with the assistance of the general public. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the third parties are threatening the administrators with dire consequences and they
would stop the temple function. In this regard he had already given a representation to the second respondent. However, the same has not been considered by respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that there are rival groups and the Revenue Divisional Office is holding enquiry in this regard.
4. In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to give any direction for police protection. Let the petitioner appear before the Revenue Divisional Officer and participate in the peace meeting and Order shall be passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer and the same shall be strictly followed by the police.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 25-08-2025
