The relief sought for in the writ petition is to quash the demand notice issued by the respondents.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

states that the determination of water and sewerage tax to be paid is not yet done by the Authorities Competent.

3. In such cases, the aggrieved person has to approach the authority for determination of taxes in accordance with the provisions of the Act. The water tax and sewerage tax are determined based on the assessment done by the Corporation for property tax. However, in such circumstances, the aggrieved persons are bound to approach the competent authority for determination of taxes to be paid. If they are not satisfied with the determination, then thereafter they have to approach the Appellate Authority as contemplated under the provisions of the Act.

4. With this observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
