PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 29.08.2024 in D.O.No.C2/50/2024 against the petitioner's husband Velu alias Kottakatti Velu, Male, aged 50 years, S/o. Ramasamy, who is confined at Central Prison, Cuddalore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.7087, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 09.10.2024.
Thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
