O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed, seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner from the anti-social elements for carrying out and completing the fencing work in his property by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the property comprised in Survey No.143/2, measuring 1 acre and 60 cents situated at Vellathur Group Madura Adhivaragapuram Village, R.K Pet Circle, Thiruvallur District belongs to the petitioner; by virtue of a sale deed dated 14.09.2021, the petitioner is in enjoyment of the property and when he about to fence the property, one Mohan along with his henchmen came to the site and created ruckus and hence, he has given a representation to the respondent police to provide police protection; but 2/5

his representation has not been considered so far

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents submitted that the representation given by the petitioner is under consideration and after the enquiry, the respondent police shall do the needful in accordance with law.

5. If the enquiry of the 2nd respondent police reveals that there is some civil dispute between the parties, then the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy by filing a civil suit before the appropriate forum.

6. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
