ORDER
The petitioner, who is a super senior citizen, sought a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to take action against the 5 th respondents based on her representations dated 23.09.2022 and 05.11.2022.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the fifth respondent, who is the tenant, has not paid the rents for more than 21 months. Though the petitioner requested the tenant to vacate the premises, she failed to vacate and continues to occupy the property without paying rent. The petitioner has sent representations to the respondents 1 to 4. But, no action has been taken so far.
3. Heard the learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on records. 3/6
4. On perusal, it is seen that the petitioner, a super senior citizen, has only sought action for recovery of rent and eviction of the fifth respondent. The dispute relates to collection of rent and eviction of a tenant, which are matters of a purely civil nature. The Police have no role to play in such issues.
5. In view of the above, this Court finds no merit in the petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. 20-08-2025 Mrp Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes To 1.The Director General of Police No.2,Dumas Street, white Town, Puducherry- 605001.
