The defendants in the suit have presented this application to amend the address specified in the plaint as regards the first defendant.

2. Both at the last hearing and at today's hearing, there is no representation for the respondents / plaintiffs. Therefore, this application is proceeded with in their absence.

3. Learned counsel for the applicants points out that the plaint contains the registered office address of the first defendant at paragraph 6 thereof. Instead of providing the registered office address, he states that an address at Pallavaram, Kancheepuram District has been provided in the cause title and similarly at paragraph 4 and page 13 of the plaint. 4. Since the plaint itself specifies the registered office address at paragraph 6 and at other relevant places in the plaint, the Pallavaram address of the first defendant is liable to be substituted with the registered office address. Consequently, A.No.5390 of 2022 is allowed as prayed for. The plaintiffs are directed to carry out the amendments in the plaint on or before 24.01.2023 and serve a copy of the amended plaint on the defendants within a week thereafter.

5. List the matter on 31.01.2023.
