ORDER

This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025.

2. The nature of allegations in this case is that when the police party was going on rounds on 30.05.2020, the accused was abusing everyone in a filthy language and as such the case was registered. The manner in which the case is registered would itself speak that there was no particular victim. Secondly, the Page No.1 of 3

case is registered only for the offence under Section 294(b) of IPC, 1860 and is pending from 30.05.2020. It is stated that the accused has changed his residence and have gone away to some other District for his avocation and the address is also not traceable.

2. Considering the nature of the offence, even if summons could be traced out in future that would be impinging on his right to speedy trial and as such no useful purpose will be served in keeping the matter pending. As such, the case in STC.No.252 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Jayamkondam Taluk, Ariyalur stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer case is disposed of.

21.08.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
