O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the writ petitioner dated 08.01.2019, wherein and whereby, she sought for appointment on compassionate ground as per the interview conducted by the respondent on 16.12.2016.
2. Mr.K.Raja, learned standing counsel accepts notice for respondent. By consent of both sides, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the writ petitioner, her father, who was working as a Senior Tradesman in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Salem) Limited, Salem District, died on 06.05.2009 leaving behind his wife and three daughters as his legal representatives. Thereafter, the petitioner's mother sent a representation dated 01.08.2009 to the respondent for compassionate appointment, the same was not considered. Since the writ 2/5
petitioner attained majority, she made a representation on 25.11.2011 to the respondent seeking appointment on compassionate ground. The writ petitioner was directed to appear before the respondent with all necessary certificates on 16.12.2016. Accordingly, the writ petitioner appeared on 16.12.2016 and submitted a proposal for appointment on compassionate ground along with all relevant documents but the same was not considered for a period of 7 years.

Learned counsel for the writ petitioner submits that the only grievance of the writ petitioner is that even though the writ petitioner sent several representations from the year 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 to the respondent seeking for her appointment on compassionate ground, till date no action has been taken by the respondent.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the representation of the writ petitioner dated 18.01.2019 may be considered as expeditiously as possible on merits.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the respondent and perused the records.

Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 08.01.2019 of the writ petitioner and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
