The petitioner herein seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.7 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 324, 376, 511, 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 for the occurrence taken place on 02.09.2023.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that, he has been falsely implicated as an accused in this case. Apprehending arrest from the respondent police, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) stated that the defacto complainant had been separated from her husband and was studying in University where the petitioner/accused No2 is working as Lab-Technician. It is stated that the petitioner had tortured the defacto complainant mentally and physically and assaulted her with knife and committed rape. The statement of the victim under Section 164(5) Cr.P.C has not yet been recorded.

4.In view of the facts and circumstances of this case, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
