This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to pay the terminal benefits to the petitioner based on the retirement order passed on 20.04.2024 and the representation made by the petitioner on 1/4

19.05.2023.

2.Heard Mr.D.Bharathy, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

3.The case of the petitioner is that she joined in the respondent Corporation as a Sanitary Worker and she attained the age of superannuation on 30.06.2023 and retired from service.

4.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner after being permitted to retire through proceedings dated 20.04.2023, has not been settled with the retirement benefits. The representation made by the petitioner in this regard on 19.05.2023 also did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 19.05.2023 in line with the retirement 2/4

order that has been passed on 20.04.2023 and the entire terminal benefits to which the petitioner is entitled to shall be settled, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If the retirement benefits are not settled within the time frame fixed by this Court, the petitioner will be entitled for payment of 6% interest from the date on which it became payable till the date of actual settlement. 6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
