The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 06.11.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 22(c), 29(1) of NDPS Act, 1985 in C.C.No.274 of 2023 on the file of the Principal Special Court under EC & NDPS Act, Chennai in Crime No.289 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.It is stated that during inspection, from the petitioner's pant pocket, one pocket of crystal like stones, one electronic machine with silver colour batteries, two syringe and one LOX-2% of jelly were recovered. It weighed around 60 grams.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner doubted as to how a weighing machine could have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner herein. That is for the Investigation Officer to explain during the course of trial and the petitioner may test such evidence during the course of trial.

It is also contended that two accused have been granted bail but however, the specific charge against the petitioner herein is that Metham Phetamine tablets were found in possession of the petitioner herein, which implies that the petitioner is the primary accused. 5.The learned counsel also stated that on the confession of the other accused, the petitioner's name had been stated. But again, that would pale into insignificance because the recovery was made from the petitioner herein.

6.Let the trial continue. At this stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
