Vs Mr.K.Selvam, The Management, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Salem) Limited, Bharathipuram, Salem Main Road, Rep. by the General Manager, Dharmapuri - 636 705.

...Respondent

Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the respondent for disobeying the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.30501 of 2014 dated 17.10.2022.

For Petitioner : Mr.V.R.Anna Gandhi For Respondent : Mr.K.Raja Standing Counsel

ORDER

1/4

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that as against the order passed in W.P.No.30501 of 2014, a Writ Appeal in W.A.No.1010 of 2025 was preferred, along with an application in C.M.P.No.8237 of 2025, wherein the Hon'ble Division Bench has passed an order of interim stay.

2.When the Hon'ble Division Bench has taken cognizance of the appeal and has proceeded with it, it would not be appropriate for this Court to parallelly proceed with the Contempt Petition. However, if liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout his remedies, after final orders are passed in the Writ Appeal, a balance can be struck. 3.Accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedies subject to the outcome of the Writ Appeal.
