This petition has been filed to extend the time fixed by this Court on 27.01.2023 in W.P.No.1314 of 2023 to complete the disciplinary proceedings against the 1st respondent / writ petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, the disciplinary proceedings have already been initiated by the petitioner. In order to avoid multiplicity of proceedings, the petitioner university has filed an application to amend the charge sheet, to include the charges suggested by the Government. Also, the University has filed an application to take on file additional documents, being the report of the DVAC and related proceedings. Hence, there was a delay in obtaining the documents from DVAC. Thereafter, witnesses were examined and before the final witness on the side of the Department could be examined, the time granted by this Court to complete the disciplinary proceedings has expired. Hence, this petition was filed.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is allowed and accordingly, the time granted by this Court to complete the disciplinary proceedings against the writ petitioner / 1st respondent herein, is extended till 28.02.2025. 08.11.2024 raja
