ORDER

With the consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.

The petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 19.08.2019 made by the petitioner to implement Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) considering the total service of the petitioner rendered in various educational institution. 1/3

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Assistant Professor of Chemistry in SivanthiAdhithanar College, Pillaiyarpuram, Kanyakumari District and was fully qualified at the time of appointment. The petitioner has also completed his M.Phil and Ph.D. Degrees. The SivanthiAdhithanar College is a self-finance College which is now affiliated to ManonmaniumSundaranar University Thirunelveli. The petitioner worked in the said college from 1.7.1987 to 3.3.1999 and again from 10.12.1999 to 10.7.2007. During the period from 17.04.1999to 09.12.1999 he went on lien to Republic of Maldives for working as teacher. Thereafter from 11.07.2007 to 23.04.2008 the petitioner worked in PSN Institute of Technology at Ramanathichanputhur. From 15.07.2008 to 07.09.2009 he worked as Principal in Mano College Sankarankoil.

Thereafter, from 09.09.2009 to 31.05.2010, he worked in Noorul Islam University Kumarakovil and finally he joined the Government Services. The services rendered by the petitioner in various colleges have to be counted for the purpose of Career Advancement Scheme. In order to avail such a benefit, the petitioner made a representation on 05.08.2019 but till date his representation was not considered. Hence the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 05.08.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Mr. Kadhirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents agreed to disposed of the representation within a stipulated time.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 05.08.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
