The allegation in this case is that the accused stole a tyre on 27.01.2015. The accused has been facing trial for the past ten years. Considering the nature of the allegations, and the fact that there is no other previous case against the accused and that he has been facing trial for all these years, continuing the case hereinafter would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial. Page No.1 of 3

Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.100186 of 2017 on the file of the District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate, Vazhapadi Taluk, Salem shall stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands disposed of. 26.08.2025 nsl electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
