3. The case of the petitioners is that they are the members of the 7 respondent co-operative society and except fishing there is no other occupation for its members. There are also women members in the society and the Pamparu Dam is under the control of the Fisheries Department. Previously, fishing right of the above dam was leased out to the society for a period of five years as per G.O.Ms.No.165, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department, dated 25.09.2012 and the said five year period is going to expire on 02.03.2006. According to the petitioners, due to Fengal Cyclone, there was a heavy rain fall in Krishnagiri District and as a result, the fishing nets were washed away. Hence, they were not able to carry out fishing activities and thereby, they suffered huge loss.
Under such circumstances, the petitioners sought for extension of the lease period for a period of one year without insisting upon the payment of lease amount, by way of representation dated 21.12.2024. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition before this Court for appropriate orders.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court, issues a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 21.12.2024 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. In view of the limited request sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the th respondent to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 21.12.2024, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 27.10.2025 8/11
