ORDER

This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025.

2. The allegation in the case is that with reference to the leader of the Political Party of the defacto complainant, the accused is said to have published certain messages in the social media which are offending and as such a case is registered in Crime No.621 of 2020 for the offences under Page No.1 of 3

Sections 505 (1)(a) and 507 of IPC and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act 2000.

3. When the matter came up for hearing, the complainant was present before the Court and submitted that he no longer wishes to pursue the complaint.

4. Considering the nature of the allegations and the accused have been attending the Court for the past five years and the complainant himself not wishes to further pursue the matter, any further prolonging the case would violate the right to speedy trial of the accused and accordingly the case in CC.No.40 of 2021 on the file of District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Senthurai Taluk, Ariyalur stands quashed and this Suo Motu transfer case is disposed of.

29.08.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
