This petition has been filed to quash the charge sheet in S.C.No.249 of 2016 for the offences under sections 7 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 on the file of the Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Chennai.

2. When the matter is taken up today, the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] has submitted that out of 9 witness cited by the prosecution, 4 witnesses have already been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

examined and the case has been posted for examination of further witnesses.

3. Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] that trial has already been commenced and out of 9 witnesses, 4 witnesses have already been examined, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition at this stage.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
