ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has been filed for initiating contempt proceedings against the respondent authorities on the allegation that directions issued by this court in the writ petition are not being complied with.
2. We find that the petitioner, though captured various photographs which show that certain vehicles are carrying animals in a manner which is violative of the provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and the directions of this court, did not make any complaint to the police station immediately to enable the authorities to take action against those carriers.
It appears that after having captured those photographs, the petitioner started making representations to the authorities. By that time, those who are alleged to be involved in the illegal transportation of animals have fled away.
3. Learned State Counsel submits that pursuant to the directions of this court, circulars were issued and as and when complaints are received, they are being enquired into, and in cases where violation is found, action is being taken.
4. We have gone through the contents of the petition. The allegations are completely vague, without material details with regard to the carriers who are involved in illegal transportation of the animals or any slaughter house operating in violation of the directions of this court.
5. On the basis of this petition, we are unable to come to the conclusion that there is any violation/contravention of the directions of this court.
The contempt petition is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
