O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application for renewal of driving license.
2. According to the petitioner, he was running a driving school after obtaining proper license from the respondents from 04.09.2008 to 03.09.2013. After expirty of license, he has failed to file application for renewal. Thereafter, the petitioner filed the application for renewal on 03.07.2013, for renewing the license from 2013 to 2018. The Regional Transport Commissioner by an order dated 04.09.2014 directed the Motor Vehicle Inspector to file a report, based on that, the Motor Vehicle Inspector has also filed report. After receipt of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
report, so far, no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents to renew the license, even then, no order has been passed. Hence, he has filed the present Writ Petition.

Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that now, the petitioner's application has been referred to Regional Transport Authority, Cuddalore, and the matter is still pending with him and suitable orders will be passed after giving opportunity to the petitioner.
4. Considering the fact that the representation is pending with the Regional Transport Officer, Cuddalore, the Regional Transport Officer, Cuddalore is directed to consider the petitioner's application for renewal of license, after giving opportunity to the petitioner, pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
