When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the second respondent/defacto complainant and third respondent are personally present before this Court and produced their official Identity and adhaar cards.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the second & third respondents and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pending proceedings in C.C.No.753 of 2017 on the file of the learned XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, the second respondent/de-facto complainant and the petitioner have amicably settled the issue among themselves and the dehttps://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

facto complainant has also filed an affidavit dated 25.10.2019 stating that he has no objection if the proceedings in C.C.No.753 of 2017 on the file of the learned XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai is quashed. The third respondent herein has also filed an affidavit dated 25.10.2019 to that effect.

4.Recording the statements made by the defacto complainant/second respondent in the affidavit filed by him dated 25.10.2019, the entire proceedings in C.C.No.753 of 2017 on the file of the learned XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai is hereby quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
