This application has been filed to amend the prayer in the plaint and to amend the pleadings questioning elections held on 08.09.2022.

2. Originally, the suit has been filed by the plaintiff for a bare injunction to restrain the election in respect of Hockey Unit of Tamilnadu. Though various grounds have been raised, when the matter was argued before this Court in O.A.584 of 2022 for interim injunction, this Court has declined to grant interim injunction. However, liberty has been granted to the plaintiff to raise all the issues raised in the interim injunction application in the suit with regard to elections. Taking advantage of the said Order, the present application has been filed to amend the prayer in the suit raising various grounds questioning the elections held on 08.09.2022.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Without going to the merits of the case, this Court is of the view that as this Court has already granted liberty to the petitioner to raise the issue in the suit https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis itself with regard to the election, the petitioner is in fact entitled to amend the

vrc prayer questioning the election pointing out the violation of various bye laws. Whereas, it is the contention of the respondents that the election was conducted in a proper manner and there is no violation. Be that as it may.

5. Since, this Court has granted liberty to raise the issue in the suit and the present amendment sought will not change the character of the suit, this application Ordered.

The plaintiff is directed to carry out necessary amendment and file amended copy of the plaint by 14.12.2023. The defendants shall file written statement by then.
