ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.This case is registered in Cr.No.280 of 2009 dated 05.09.2009 for the alleged offence under Sections 379 I.P.C. The incident was occurred on 05.09.2009, where the suit case of the defacto-complainant was stolen from the train. The matter is pending from the year 2009. It is stated that the accused became mentally ill and remains untraceable. The defactoPage No.1 of 3
complainant also is now not traceable.
3.For all the above reasons, no meaningful trial can be completed herein after even if the accused is brought to face trial, it would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.184 of 2011 of Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
