The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to provide an electricity connection for his agricultural land situated at Survey No.457/1B, Palladam Taluk, Tiruppur District, based on his application dated 10.10.2011.
2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he and his father filed an application dated 10.10.2011 before the respondents seeking electricity service connection. Subsequently, the petitioner's father died on 18.11.2016. The petitioner's request to the respondents to effect service connection in his name has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents, on written instructions submitted that readiness notice was 2/5
issued on 30.12.2021, and the same could not be processed due to the death of the petitioner's father. Further, the petitioner has not produced legal heirship certificate and NOC from the other legal heirs.

In view of the above submission made by the learned standing Counsel, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the petitioner to produce legal heirship certificate and NOC from the other legal heirs before the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. On receipt of documents mentioned above from the petitioner within the stipulated time, the second respondent shall consider his request for service connection and pass final orders on its own merits, after issuing necessary notice to the interested parties within a period of four weeks thereafter.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
