This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation and file final report within a stipulated time in Crime No.30 of 1/3

2019 on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Villupuram District.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the total amount of cheating of depositors involved in this case exceeds somewhere around Rs.15 crores. Therefore, District Crime Branch intends to transfer this case to Economic Offence Wing. He further requested three months to complete the investigation and file final report.

3.Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the respondent/Police is directed to expedite the transfer of cases to Economic Offences Wing immediately and the Economic Offences Wing in turn is directed to complete the investigation within a period of three months from the date of receipt of records.
