ORDER

The writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1 st respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.08.2025 and to revoke the petitioner's suspension order issued by the 1 st respondent herein in memo No.003346/185/Adm./A3/2025-1 dated 05.04.2025.

2. Heard Mr.P.Ezhil Nilavan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Manoharan, learned counsel for the respondents.

3. The petitioner states that she was initially appointed as Trainee/Helper in the month of July 2004, later promoted as Wireman in the year 2010, Line Inspector in the year 2015, and Foreman in the year 2024. While serving as

Foreman, the petitioner was implicated in a Vigilance trap case in Cr.No.01/2025 dated 03.04.2025 and her name is not incorporated as an accused in the FIR. She was arrested on 03.04.2025 and thereafter placed under suspension from 03.04.2025 by orders of the 1 st respondent dated 05.04.2025.

4. The petitioner further that she has not demanded or accepted any illegal gratification, and that the case is still under investigation without filing of charge sheet. She contends that the suspension is prolonged and unjustified, causing financial hardship, as she is the sole breadwinner in her family. She submitted representations dated 13.05.2025 and 02.08.2025, seeking revocation of suspension, but the same have not been considered. Hence, she is constrained to move the present writ petition.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, direct the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated

02.08.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In fine, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
