ORDER

The above writ petition has been seeking a direction to the respondents to pay him the interest for the belated payment of P.F., Gratuity and Commuted value of pension at the rate of 12 percent per annum, within the time fixed by this Court.

2. It is an admitted fact that the petitioner, who had joined the services of the respondent-Corporation, retired as a Special Grade Conductor on 30.06.2023. Though the petitioner had retired on 30.06.2023, the retirement benefits had been deposited into his account only on 16.04.2025 after a gap of nearly 21 months from the date of his retirement. Therefore, the petitioner had claimed interest @12% towards the belated payment of terminal benefits. However, the respondents have not taken any steps whatsoever to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2025. The fact that the payments have been made with a delay has not been controverted by the respondents.

3. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.
