With the consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. The petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking to call for the records and quash the rejection order passed against the petitioner's registration and consequently direct the respondent Board to accept the petitioner's Community Certificate and to include his name in the selection list based on the marks obtained by him in the written examination.

3. The case of the petitioner is that petitioner applied for the post of Police Constable through online based on the publication issued by TNUSRB on 30.03.2019 and the written examination was conducted on 25.08.2019. Thereafter the recruitment Board sent an email dated 31.08.2019 to the petitioner to rectify the mistake in uploading the community certificate while making online application. But due to lack of internet facilities in his village he had not noticed the said email sent to him and failed to comply with the instruction, since he was not aware about the mistake done while uploading the community certificate. Thereafter on 26.09.2019, the result was published. Since the registration number was not found in the selection list he verified with his result through his registration number and found that his registration for examination was rejected since he has uploaded some other person's community certificate instead of his community certificate.

4. Thereafter on 30.09.2019, the petitioner personally handed over a written request before the authority and he sent another detailed representation dated 18.10.2019 before the respondent and requested to revoke the rejection and to include his name in the selection list, as against the inaction, the present Writ Petition is filed.

5. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent on instruction would submit that in fact the petitioner candidature was accepted and called for personal verification on 30.10.2019. Hence nothing survives in the Writ Petition. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
