Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to make correction in all revenue record for the land in respect of the land in S.No.777/B, Byramangalam Village, as 32 cents instead of 29 cents based on the application dated 26.09.2024.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to make correction in the revenue records pertains to land in S.No.777/B, Byramangalam Village, as 32 cents instead of 29 cents based on the application dated 26.09.2024.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that his father Ramareddy purchased the land with an extent of 32 cents in survey no.777/B in Byramangalam Village under registered sale deed dated 20.03.1985. During updation of revenue records under UDR scheme, patta was wrongly issued in the name of his paternal uncle Krishnareddy with an extent of 29 cents instead of 32 cents. The petitioner's father submitted various representations seeking correction of the revenue records. Now, the petitioner's father died on 16.03.2024. After the death of his father, the petitioner submitted a representation on 26.09.2024, 2/5

seeking correction in the revenue records with regard to the extent and the name of the pattadhar and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the competent authority to consider the representation of the petitioner is Revenue Divisional Officer and the representation of the petitioner will be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to forward the representation of the petitioner dated 26.09.2024 to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Krishnagiri, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Revenue Divisional Officer shall consider the same and pass final orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the third respondent and any other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
