ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 3rd respondent to consider and pass order in appeal filed by the 1st petitioner dated 29.05.2025 and to issue legal heirship certificate, within the time fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.G.Velu, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The case of the petitioners is that, the petitioner's father namely Andi @ Munusamy had passed away on 03.02.2023 leaving the petitoners as legal heirs. Thereafter, the 1st petitioner has applied for the legal heir certificate before the 4th respondent on 24.02.2025 and the same was rejected by the 4th respondent without assigning any valid reasons on 24.04.2025. Therefore, the 1st petitioner has preferred an appeal, dated Page No.2 of 6
29.05.2025 before the 3rd respondent. Since the said appeal was kept pending without any progress, the petitioners have filed this writ petition before this Court for appropriate orders.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court, issues a direction to the 3rd respondent to dispose the appeal filed by the 1st petitioner dated 29.05.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent to hear the appeal filed by the 1st petitioner dated 29.05.2025 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners and aggrieved persons, if any.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Page No.3 of 6
