The petitioner/A1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 120 B, 420, 465, 468, 471 IPC r/w Sections 12 (1A)(a), 12(1A)(b), 12 (2) and 12 (3) of the Passport Act in Crime No. 213 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case. Thus, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 3.It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent that the petitioner is a Srilankan citizen. A2 is the husband of the petitioner. It is stated that A2 had manipulated various documents to obtain an Indian passport in the name of the petitioner, who is not an Indian citizen. 4.

In view of the fact that investigation has to be done as to what are the documents that are forged, where did they get the documents and who assisted them in preparing such documents, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
