O R D E R

The petitioner herein was arrested on 29.07.2025 on the complaint of one Prakash, alleging that the petitioner intercepted his vehicle near Srinivasa Bakery, 1/4

Singaperumal Koil and attacked him with a knife, causing cut injury on his neck. When the defacto complainant attempted to snatch the knife from the petitioner/accused, the petitioner/accused sustained minor injuries. 2.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner is a notorious criminal, having four previous cases, including one for the offence of attempt to murder.

3.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the defacto complainant and the petitioner are known to each other and due to previous enmity, a false case has been foisted against him. 4.

This Court, on considering the nature and seat of the injury sustained by the defacto complainant, is of the view that release of the petitioner at this juncture may cause danger to the life of the defacto complainant. Hence this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present. 26.08.2025 rpl To 2/4
