Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider our application dated 15.06.2022 for issue of individual patta in respect of the property covered in SF.No.167/2, Kavilipalayam Natham measuring 6104 sq.ft as contained in sale deed dated 17.12.2015 bearing registration number 6407/2015 and pass orders within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court. O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the application dated 15.06.2022 for issue of individual patta in respect of the property covered in SF.No.167/2, Kavilipalayam Natham measuring 6104 sq.ft as contained in sale deed dated 17.12.2015 bearing registration number 6407/2015 and pass orders within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. In order to get patta for the land situated at SF.No.167/2, Kavilipalayam Natham measuring 6104 sq.ft, the petitioners made an application on 15.06.2022 to the respondent Tahsildar and in order to consider the same the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader.

Learned Special Government Pleader submits that in order to get patta, application has to be made through on-line and therefore if the petitioners come forward to make an online application in the web portal, the same would be considered by the second respondent on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer and having regard to the 2 / 4

submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, especially the stand taken by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with the following order.

"That there shall be a direction to the petitioners to make an online application to the second respondent Tahsildar through the web portal within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the same shall be considered and decided on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks thereafter."
