..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to construct any building at Timirikottai, Pachanampatty Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District or obstruct the way to reach the Petitioner's house in S.Nos.27/1A, 27/3 from the Omalur to Mettur Main Road.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2024.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner has given a representation dated 30.09.2024 not to construct any building at Timirikottai, Pachanampatty Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District or obstruct the way to reach the Petitioner's house in S.Nos.27/1A, 27/3 from the Omalur to Mettur Main Road. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondents, as on date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2024 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of 8 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs issues the following directions:

(i) The respondents are directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 30.09.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) In the event, the petitioner's representation is not available with the respondents, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the respondents. Upon such receipt, the respondents are directed to consider the same, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No cost. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 06-03-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order VM
